There is no live application action yet
As of May 15, 2026, ETIAS is not operational and travellers cannot submit official applications. Any app or page claiming live ETIAS filing now should be treated cautiously.
- Start with the current-status page before downloading or entering details.
- Use official EU source links to verify the application path.
- Do not send passport data to an app because it looks travel-related.
What official-channel checks should include
Once ETIAS opens, travellers should verify the official publisher, the official website link, and whether the app is referenced from official EU materials. App-store branding alone is not enough.
- Check the official ETIAS website path first.
- Confirm any mobile app from official source material, not advertising copy.
- Keep personal access to the email used for any future application.
How lookalike confusion happens
Unofficial websites and apps can use ETIAS wording, urgency, and official-looking layouts while still being independent services. That is not automatically unlawful, but it must not hide fees, status, or independence.
Where ETIAS Connect fits
ETIAS Connect is independent and not the official EU ETIAS website. Any future paid support is optional and separate from the official application path and official fee.
