Verified on 4 August 2026. ETIAS is not currently in operation, no applications are being collected yet, and there is no fixed public launch window.

Nationality is only the start

ETIAS relevance also depends on destination, travel purpose, stay length, residence-document status, and whether the traveller already needs a visa.

Visa-exempt travellers are the main ETIAS audience.
Dual nationality and residence-document cases need careful checking.
Short-stay travel is different from work, study, or residence.
