Current-source update

Source update, 20 July 2026: the live official ETIAS portal no longer publishes the last-quarter 2026 window. It now says ETIAS is not operating, no applications are being collected, and the specific start date will be communicated several months before launch. The table below remains a preserved 19 July snapshot and must not be read as a current timing assessment.

What the snapshot found

Four of 15 reviewed pages conflicted with the official baseline

Eleven pages were aligned on the reviewed ETIAS facts. Four contained a material fee, timing, or internal-consistency problem: 2 timing mismatches, 1 fee mismatch, and 1 internally contradictory timeline.

This result describes only the 15 saved pages on 19 July 2026. It does not estimate the whole web, Google market share, or the current accuracy of a page after its publisher changes it.

Methodology

A defined manual page review, not a ranking study

We reviewed 15 distinct English-language pages encountered during a browser-search session for ETIAS, apply ETIAS, ETIAS cost, and when does ETIAS start. Each page was compared with the official EU baseline visible on 19 July 2026: ETIAS was not operating, no applications were being collected, the expected start was the last quarter of 2026, and the published fee was EUR 20. The sample is a dated information-quality audit, not a Google rank tracker or a market-share estimate.

  1. 1. Discover: record distinct English pages encountered for four high-intent queries.
  2. 2. Compare: check launch timing, whether applications are open, the official fee, and official-channel clarity.
  3. 3. Classify: mark aligned only when no material contradiction was found against the dated baseline.
  4. 4. Preserve: publish the URL-level assessment and a downloadable CSV so the sample can be rechecked.
